What shifts are available?

CAMHS inpatient units — caring for young people with eating disorders, self-harm and acute mental health presentations

CAMHS community teams — assessments, therapeutic interventions and family work

Crisis and intensive support — working with young people in acute psychiatric crisis

Specialist eating disorder units — monitoring, meal support and therapeutic care

What do you need to register?

Active NMC PIN

Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council registration — verified automatically through Pulse.

Enhanced DBS

An enhanced DBS certificate less than 12 months old. Must include check against barred lists.

Right to Work

Proof of your right to work in the UK — British passport, settled status or valid visa.

How much can you earn?

CAMHS nurses command premium rates due to high demand — typically £28–£38/hr for days and £35–£45/hr for nights. Specialist eating disorder and PICU roles can exceed £40/hr.
